Java Testing with CI/CD experience

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Java Tester with expertise in Cassandra and Kafka to join our team. As a Java Tester, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive testing of Java-based applications, with a focus on functionalities related to Cassandra and Kafka.
• Designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of application features and functionalities.
• Collaborating with the development team to understand requirements and provide input on testability aspects during the software development lifecycle.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs, anomalies, and issues encountered during testing.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues, including any specific challenges related to Cassandra and Kafka integration.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and quality guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining test data, test environments, and test infrastructure as required.
• Performing performance and scalability testing to ensure the robustness and efficiency of the Java applications integrated with Cassandra and Kafka.
• Providing regular updates on testing progress, test results, and any potential risks or bottlenecks to project stakeholders.
• Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in the Cassandra and Kafka ecosystems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Java Tester with strong knowledge of Java programming language.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cassandra database and Kafka streaming platform.
• Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Familiarity with test automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with performance testing and scalability testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is beneficial.
