WHAT I CAN DO:
- Logos, layout, props, and illustrations.
- Specialize in clean-line logo art, typography, maps, vehicles, and gadgets.
WORKFLOW:
- I begin with thumbnail sketches, shuffling reference photos, and/or photobashing references to work quickly and effectively with clients to determine what direction to go in so that hours are never spent on art that no one wants.
- Final compositions are usually done in Illustrator and/or Photoshop, depending on what's needed. I'll use InDesign for page layout or multi-page projects.
- For certain types of projects, I can create 3D components in Maya and Sketchup to use as underlays, reference, or in final artwork.
MY BACKGROUND:
- I've been creating graphics and covers and marketing materials since 1998 to accompany my novels and other projects, using Photoshop that entire time. Since 2008, I've added doing 3D art to plus my compositions, and in 2010 I started using Illustrator as well to speed up my vector art game.
