Brian Oconnell

I am the founder of Asterion SEO, one of the premier SEO agencies in Ireland.

I trained as an Electronic Engineer and began my career with multinational Electronic companies Seagate and Nortel as they developed greenfield facilities in Ireland. Being in at the start helped me develop a wide range of skills that would not have been possible in established companies.

I began my entrepreneurial career by developing websites for local businesses and going on to develop and market my own directory sites. Seeing clients spending large amounts of money on what I considered to be sub-par market research working in IT, especially facilities producing thousands of units per day, you come to value good data analysis I wrote and patented a software system.

Minotaur Business Research Systems used the new software to provide customer research to local businesses faster and cheaper than they had been able to receive before. I sold this company in 2007.
