In my current role as a Software Engineer at Ocumetra, I have been instrumental in developing a platform that revolutionizes how optometrists access and present patient information. Utilizing technologies such as Flask, Python, Docker, AWS, and PostgreSQL, I have gained significant backend development, cloud services, and database management expertise. Additionally, I initiated and led a project to improve our code coverage by writing the first integration test and adding the missing unit tests and integration tests for all core features. This project improved our test coverage from 40% to 90%, leading to more secure releases, faster development cycles, and reduced errors.
My previous experiences have further solidified my technical skills. I have worked with technologies like NestJS, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, and Git, leading projects to refactor codebases and establish efficient development practices. I have also contributed to startups, where I participated in the development.
