Martin ten Dam

Hello, my name is Martin. I was born in the Netherlands and, since 1997, I have lived in Prague, Czechia, Portland, OR, and in Ghent, Belgium. In 2024, my wife and I moved back to the United States, where we now live in Roseville, CA.
I have worked as a restaurant chef, private chef, prep chef, and had my own restaurant for seven years. Between 2011 and 2013, I retrained as an IT Helpdesk Specialist through a government sponsored program. My training was in MS Office, networking, Active Directory, hardware, problem solving, and a bit of VBA coding. I also followed many online training courses in basic coding in different languages, MS Access and Excel. For a large part, I am self educated.
In 2014, I began working for an IT company that provided IT support for a large utility company in Belgium.
