Samira Sanusi

I am a Sickle Cell Anemia survivor, author of 2 books and founder of Samira Sanusi Sickle Cell Foundation. I
believe in the power of sharing my health challenges and experiences to inspire lives and impact communities. My experiences in leadership roles, program management and advocacy campaigns have enabled me to develop, execute and monitor projects in rural communities with low access to healthcare information and resources.

I am an experienced public speaker, using storytelling telling and creativity to shine a light on social issues and call for action. I am an avid reader, and published author of two books. As a non fiction writer, my topics range from autobiographies, short essays and stories, poems, prose and thought provoking articles that challenge behavioral, cultural and social norms to influence change, policy making and implementation,.

I approach my work with discipline, passion and commitment to the organizations I work with to tell compelling and inspiring stories.
